The BVCRB’s Recreation Sub-Committee selected the following 12 residents of the Bulkley Valley to create a Summer Recreation Access Management Plan for the Bulkley Timber Supply Area. The participants include representatives of summer recreation clubs as well as representatives of the public at large.

A 50-year resident of the Bulkley Valley, Eugene depends on his quad to access summer recreation areas. He enjoys hiking and is a rock hound.
Bob Mitchell (bob@bvcrb.ca)
An active hiker and naturalist for the past 30 years, Bob has been involved in coordinating trail maintenance in the Valley, founded the Northeast Slope Trails Group, and was chair of the former Smithers Community Forest Committee. He has been involved in past land use plans for the valley.
Matt Sakals (matt@bvcrb.ca)
Matt enjoys mountain biking, trail running, whitewater kayaking, canoeing and motorbiking. His work with the BC Forest Service has made him familiar with many backcountry areas in the Bulkley Valley.
